Of course, retail therapy is a must. This great gift shop and home furnishings stores is in Bedminster, New Jersey. I heard about it from 21 Rosemary Lane blog. Thanks, Barbara!
I love these jugs, especially the green one in the middle.
A little oohing and ahhing is good for facial muscles
Make time for lunch. This Mediterranean chop salad on a nest of crispy noodles was delicious and refreshing.
Stop and smell the flowers. There was a bunch of these branches sitting in a huge vase of water at the Stoney Brooke Grille where we had lunch. Feel grateful, give thanks. Life is good.
Repeat as often as necessary.
Sharing this day with Claudia for A Favorite Thing, The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays and Linda for Gratitude Sunday.

(I can't believe I left my camera home that day, these were taken with my ancient cell phone camera.)

What an absolutely perfect day! I do those those jugs - wow! Did you take one home????
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful day - that salad looks so delicious :-)
ReplyDeleteDelightful day! I thought it was good when I read it earlier on the comment snuffing iPad and I think it's great now! I would love to visit a shop like that one!
ReplyDeleteIt made me smile to think of you having such a wonderful day :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been brave enough to have my brows waxed - I'm a chicken!
xo,
Lisa
Thanks for the tip on passing on the brow waxing..and I have to agree with you..that green jug is so awesome..looks like you had a very nice day..life is good...
ReplyDeleteLife is good indeed! But I think your advice today can help it be even better! There are just so many days one needs to stay home and work or go out to work and be responsible. A day out like you had is something manageable to one degree or another that almost everyone can do, and go home with a smile on our face. I'm going to plan one soon!
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!! it is so special to have a day like that once in a while!
ReplyDeleteMary x
Looks like a fun day!
ReplyDeleteI am a wax virgin, still use the tweezer, ouch!
Snowing like crazy here.
Glad you liked my Connolly's! :)
Looks like a wonderful day, especially the retail therapy part of it - and - lunch, of course! Never have had my eyebrows waxed, so I can't give an opinion on that.:-) Have a good Friday! xo

Oh, what a fun day you had! Girlfriend time, a little shopping, a little eating, a workout for the facial muscles ~smile~...all great! :D
ReplyDeleteIt is nice just relaxing and especially the shopping part, my favorite...Not sure if they have this ion your area, but the rage in ca. is to have your eyebrows threaded, it is done by indian ladies and is very popular, no waxing, no rashes...if they have it there, try it, easy and cheap, you may love it...lol then have a coffee....
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a very good day! Happy Weekend:@)
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect day!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you have covered all the bases for a great girlfriend day. Sounds like fun.

ReplyDeleteAs always, thanks for being a part of SEASONAL SUNDAYS.
- The Tablescaper
Looks like an enjoyable day, minus the eye brow waxing. I've never waxed my eye brows. In fact I only waxed my legs once at home with I was a teen. The pain from that was enough to make me stick to tweezers and shaving.
ReplyDeleteI would go for the good food and retail therapy. That looks like a beautiful shop. Oh, and I saw the turkeys in your last post. How fun! Hope you have had a great weekend!
I wish I had thick enough eyebrows that needed waxing :) What a perfect day spent with a good friend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really fun day, Barbara. A day with a good friend is a good day indeed!
ReplyDeleteI love those jugs too. They are incredible. I am stopping by from the Gratitude Sunday blog hop and I am a new follower.
